We have to agree that the Air Jordan III is as Hip Hop as you can possibly think of. They continue to be the benchmark for other sneakers trying to make it big.
3. Nike Air Force 1
You know that when you reach the top 3, you are a winner among critics and there is almost nothing that can beat you. The Nike Air Force 1 is a fighter – fighting to keep the cool in Hip Hop. And this pair of sneakers manage to do that very well! Not only were they a trend setter, they got the best acclaim when Nelly gave them quite a flashy tribute. With the smooth and clean silhouette on the all white leather, the Air Force 1 are sneakers like none other. They remain one of the best fashion accessories to come out in the 90s and took hold of the Hip Hop world by storm.
2. Puma Clydes
While this brand may not be the most famous thing out there in the world of Hip Hop music, the Puma Clydes managed to win our hearts with the awesome suede feel to it. Being the signature shoes for Walt Clyde Frazier was all that these sneakers needed to make it big. The fat laces and the raspberry color were just too intimidating to not fall in love with. With quite a few cases of these shoes being stolen and sold out, the Puma Clydes really did fare well.
1. Adidas Superstar
Just as the name suggests, the Adidas Superstar differentiated the superstars from the mere wannabes. Being the favorite shoe for break dancers, the sneakers got its much acclaim from promotions by Run-DMC. Also known as Shell Toes, the shoes were much loved for its durability and the almost literally indestructible rubberized toecap. To this date, these sneakers maintain to be a favorite among Hip Hop icons and upcoming stars alike.
